I believe I am destined for greater things. Or a higher purpose, despite what some guy said the other day straight to my face ‘You are not typical and therefore insignificant to the future’. How do actually define ‘typical’? Is he actually trying to say, ‘sane’? Or does he refer to the masses? Whatever he said, I shall prove otherwise, even if he didn’t quite matter in the first place. Agh.
Things to do when you’re 18. Before you turn 19 (because you believe 19 has so much significance). Or at least before you go to Australia. For me, lah.
- Get published, or win an essay/short story competition. Like, an official one, where you win money and all (not in school magazines). That would be absolutely swell. The published part, of course.
- Be more organized. As in have enough items/money/will/place/time to do every basic thing required by everyone.
- Enter at least another 2 debate competitions. To prove your self-worth.
- Perform in front of an audience, meaning I’d have to actually practice and learn playing guitar, drums, keyboard etc. Even a person counts as an audience, kan? Okay la, jadi vocalist sudah cukup.
- Rekindle friendships, and maintain them (the hardest of all). Reestablish contact, meet them once in a while, call them every now and then, and all that pile. Don’t arse people.
- Go travel to these places at least once again; Kota Bharu (yay!), Taiping, Kuantan, Melaka, Penang, Langkawi, Besut (don’t ask why) and whatever small places. Except Kuala Nerang of course.
- Attend a worthy-going concert in Singapore (because they’re always gonna go there instead of here). Of course bands, either Bloc Party, Radiohead, or Sigur Ros (because they’re still going and big enough to do it there). The Strokes? It won’t happen.
- Keep writing. Wherever, whenever, whatever.
- Keep reading. For reading is consolation for the soul. Read more philosophical stuff, instead of ‘catcher in the rye’ kinda stuff. They never really give you the same feeling. It’s kinda dumb actually. The only thing close would be Looking For Alaska by Jhn Green. Variate your reading materials. Move to more… scientific and contemporary stuff. Try to… love em.
- Have a side-income. To feel good, and to buy proper things.
- Be good. Nicer to people, and all that pile.
- To be able to love and have interest and vision in electrical engineering. Or disciplines related to it. I wanna create, not lecture other people about repetitive things. That what other ordinary women do.
- Learn another language apart from Latin, Japanese, or German. French perhaps. So you don’t have to read subtitles while watching French movies like Persepolis and Paris, je t’aime.
- Read the Al-Quran. As in READ, not Recite. Like really read. Understand. Analyse an all. Maybe master Arabic while you’re at it. Because I want to ^_^ (cewah baik gle)
- Wake up early at least twice a week to feel swell. Like absolutely swell. Sleep early and don’t go fool around at nights.
- Learn before you’re taught. Because things’ll be simpler that way.
- Learn to value things, and money. As in spend, and use wisely. Keep 50% of what you get
- Stay alive.
Wah, I sound so optimistic and all. And materialistic and all.. And artsy and all that pile. *sigh*. And phoney and all. Aish. Well, at least I’m listing the good things I wanna do, and not the bad things I’m about to.

This ain’t the list I’m talking about. This one’s written a week ago
